I’m particularly excited about this New Release Tuesday because a Deluxe Version of Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins, probably my all-time favorite album, is out today. I’m listening to it now and it’s amazing!! All 31-tracks on the album are worth $15.99 in my opinion.

It’s a HUGE week here at HMV Digital. First off, my Choice of the Week this week is the new album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers - I’m With You, their 10th album release. The record features new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, but contains all the classic sounds from founding members Flea, Anthony Keidis and Chad Smith (who has been with the band since 1989).

Another big record out this week is Lil Wayne - Tha Carter IV, which was originally supposed to be released in May, then it got pushed back to June, then pushed again and is finally out today. Adding to the interest and controversy that usually follows Lil Wayne is the fact that in March, he announced in an interview with radio station Hot 97 that he would be retiring and quitting the music business. He has since hinted that Tha Carter IV would be his last album. Truth or just hype? Only time will tell. - Tha Carter IV

Some other notable releases come from UK alternative rockers Hard-Fi (a personal favorite band of mine) with Killer Sounds, ex-Rage Against the Machine & ex-Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello with World Wide Rebel Songs, and Running Blind, the second solo effort from Radiohead drummer Philip Selway.

On the Canadian front, we have a new album called 16 & 1 from Canadian Country heroes Doc Walker and a brand new single from reggae/dancehall/hip-hop artist Kardinal Offishall called Anywhere.

And if it’s FREE MUSIC you want, then it’s FREE music we shall give you. Check out this interesting piece from Esmerine called Walking Through Mist. It’s an avant garde-type of record perfect for those mellow moods. Hey, why not? It’s free remember?

Alright, I think that’s it for this week…and I didn’t even get a chance to really talk about the new single by Flo Rida called Good Feeling or the new EP from Michelle Branch called The Loud Music Hits.
